Anomalous water
Der Begriff Anomalous water ist im englisch-sprachigen Wikipedia aufgeführt. Dort heißt es dazu:

Polywater was a hypothetical polymerized form of water that was the subject of much scientific controversy during the late 1960s. By 1969 the popular press had taken notice, to the point that it was used as a plot device in Star Trek (see also TNG: The Naked Now where the connection is clarified), and sparked fears of a "polywater gap" in the USA.
Increased press attention also brought with it increased scientific attention, and as early as 1970 doubts about its authenticity were being circulated. By 1973 it was found to be illusory, being just water with any number of common organic compounds contaminating it.
Today, polywater is best known as an example of pathological science.

Energy from Water? Investigating Anomalous Water Arc Explosions
Note: In this post I'll be referencing a couple papers, citations for which can be found at the post's end. It's been a long time and a couple of science fairs since my last post, so I thought I'd take the time to update you on what I've been up to these past few months. With the end of the school year (and my high school career!) consuming a lot of my time, I haven't gotten to work on the project as much as I would have liked; in fact, I'm still not done experimenting or collecting data.

Education For You: Anomalous Expansion Of Water
DEFINITION Water shows unusual expansion. When it is cooled from four degree centigrade to zero degree centigrade is known as "anomalous expansion of water."The unusual behaviour of water, when it expands below4° celsius to 0° is called anmalus expansion of water. EFFECTS The anomalous expansion of water helps preserve aquatic life during very cold weather. When temperature falls, the top layer of water in a pond contracts, becomes denser and sinks to the bottom.
