Rubella
Die Röteln (Rubella) sind eine hochansteckende Infektionskrankheit, die durch das Rötelnvirus ausgelöst wird und eine lebenslange Immunität hinterlässt, weshalb sie zu den Kinderkrankheiten zählen. Rötelnviren befallen nur Menschen. Neben den typischen roten Hautflecken (Exanthem) können auch Fieber und Lymphknotenschwellungen auftreten. Gefürchtet ist eine Rötelninfektion während der Schwangerschaft, weil sie zu schweren Komplikationen (Rötelnembryofetopathie) mit ausgeprägten Fehlbildungen des Kindes und zu Fehlgeburten führen kann. Die Behandlung besteht in rein symptomatischen Maßnahmen (Linderung der Krankheitssymptome). Eine vorbeugende Lebendimpfung ist verfügbar. Die Erkrankung an Röteln sowie der labordiagnostische Nachweis sind mit der Änderung des Infektionsschutzgesetzes vom 29. März 2013 meldepflichtig geworden.
